Cozy Casita~String Lights~Grill~Patio~Near Downtown

Welcome to Ember Casita at Porchlight House! Tucked just steps from the main house behind a cheerful teal Dutch door, this cozy 2-bedroom, 1-bath casita is your private retreat in the heart of San Antonio's Southtown/Lone Star arts district. Whether you're a couple craving a romantic getaway or a small group wanting your own space close to the action, Ember Casita delivers designer comfort in a compact, effortless package.

• A true private retreat — your own front door, fully separate from the main Porchlight House (may be rented to another guest- only the back yard is shared), right in the heart of Southtown's arts district
• Evenings made for lingering — unwind by the shared fire pit under string lights on your private patio
• Cook like a local — a fully equipped kitchen with butcher-block counters and stainless appliances, steps from Southtown's best taco spots
• Rest easy, however you're traveling — a plush queen bed plus a daybed/trundle comfortably sleep up to 4
• Steps from it all — walk to Southtown's galleries, coffee shops, and murals right outside your door

Please note: This home is behind the main house, reached through a walk-through gate on the left side of the main house to your own private teal Dutch door — please do not use the main house's yellow front door. The backyard may be shared with guests staying in the main house. Parking is available on the street.

Step onto your patio — shared with the main house next door — where twinkling string lights, a fire pit, and a cushioned lounge set the scene for evening cocktails or morning coffee under the San Antonio sky. Inside, warm Southwestern touches (cowhide accents, Aztec-print pillows, rustic wood furniture) blend with clean, modern finishes: butcher-block countertops, open shelving, and stainless steel appliances give the galley kitchen a boutique feel, while a leather reclining sofa and mounted TV anchor the cozy living room.

You'll sleep easy in two thoughtfully appointed bedrooms: the primary features a plush queen bed with a handcrafted wood headboard, and the second offers a daybed with pull-out trundle — perfect for kids, friends, or extra guests — sleeping up to 4 total. A spa-style tiled walk-in shower and stacked in-unit washer/dryer round out the comforts of home.

Just outside your door, you're minutes from the Blue Star Arts Complex, Mission Reach River Walk, Confluence Park, and Mission Conception, with downtown San Antonio, the Alamo, and the Pearl District all a short drive away. Southtown's best tacos, coffee, and craft beer — think La Tuna, Burgerteca, and Künstler Brewing — are around the corner. Book Ember Casita for an intimate San Antonio escape, or pair it with the Porchlight House - the main house next door for a full Porchlight House buyout.
