Welcome to Porchlight Main House! Imagine ending your San Antonio day on a covered front porch behind a cheerful yellow door. This beautifully renovated 4-bedroom, 2-bath Craftsman bungalow in the Southtown/Lone Star arts district blends designer style — a statement fireplace, black herringbone kitchen, and spa-style showers — with the comfort of a true gathering home. Minutes from the Blue Star Arts Complex, Mission Reach River Walk, and downtown — perfect for families and groups.

• Designer renovation with soul — exposed beam, statement fireplace, and a black herringbone kitchen straight out of a design magazine
• A true gathering layout — open living, dining, and kitchen flow made for groups and multi-generational stays
• Spa-style bathrooms — barn-door primary en-suite with dual vessel sinks and an oversized glass walk-in shower
• Fire-pit evenings — shared patio with string lights, grill, fire pit, and yard games just outside (shared with the casita on the property)
• Unbeatable Southtown location — minutes to the Blue Star Arts Complex, Mission Reach River Walk, and downtown San Antonio

Step inside and you're welcomed by a bright, open living area where an exposed dark-wood beam crowns the space and a striking fireplace framed in marble-look tile and stacked stone anchors it. Sink into the oversized sectional with a movie on the mounted smart TV, or keep the conversation flowing across the open-concept layout — the living room leads straight into a dining space that seats your whole group under warm pendant lighting, and on into a showstopper kitchen.

And what a kitchen it is. Glossy black herringbone tile climbs the walls behind crisp white shaker cabinetry, while the black stone island gives you bar seating, a deep sink, and generous prep space for taco night or a slow Sunday breakfast. You'll find a full suite of appliances, a coffee station with both Keurig and drip brewers, a microwave, and a built-in wine rack — everything you need to cook, pour, and linger. A full laundry area with washer, dryer, and tankless hot water sits conveniently off the hallway, perfect for longer stays.

Sleeping up to eight guests, the home offers four comfortable bedrooms. The king primary suite hides a spa-style bathroom behind a sliding barn door, with dual vessel sinks and an oversized glass walk-in shower with a rainfall-style head and handheld sprayer. Two queen bedrooms each offer their own smart TV, ceiling fan, and soft carpet underfoot, served by a second beautifully tiled bathroom with double vanities and a tub/shower combo beneath a characterful wood-plank ceiling. The bunk room — with twin-over-twin bunks and its own TV — gives kids a space of their own, and a high chair and pack-and-play are provided for the littlest travelers.

Where you'll sleep:

Bedroom 1 – Primary Suite: King bed, private en-suite bathroom with dual sinks & glass walk-in shower
Bedroom 2 – Guest Suite: Queen bed, smart TV
Bedroom 3 – Guest Suite: Queen bed, smart TV
Bedroom 4 – Bunk Room: Twin-over-twin bunk bed, smart TV

Outside, the backyard patio is where evenings come alive — gather around the fire pit under string lights, fire up the grill, and challenge your crew to yard games under the Texas sky. Please note: the outdoor patio amenities — fire pit, grill, outdoor chairs, and yard games — are shared with guests staying in the casita located on the same property; please be considerate of fellow guests when using these areas. Want the entire property to yourselves? Book our Entire House listing, which includes both homes and exclusive use of all outdoor spaces.

Parking: Two vehicles may park in the driveway to the left of the Main House. Additional street parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please keep the vehicle gate closed and locked; it is not available for guest use.

About the neighborhood:

You're staying in the Lone Star district on the edge of Southtown — San Antonio's creative corridor, where murals, galleries, breweries, and some of the city's best-loved local restaurants set the pace. The Blue Star Arts Complex is your nearby anchor: galleries, First Friday energy, Blue Star Brewing, coffee, and cocktails all in one riverside campus, with Southtown favorites like La Tuna, Burgerteca, and Künstler Brewing close by.

Love the outdoors? The Mission Reach stretch of the San Antonio River Walk is minutes away — miles of hike-and-bike trail winding past Confluence Park and the historic Spanish missions, including Mission Concepción. And when you want the classics, downtown San Antonio is a short drive: the Alamo, the downtown River Walk, the Pearl, Market Square, and Hemisfair are all within easy reach — close enough for spontaneous evenings out, far enough that you come home to a quiet neighborhood street.

The porch light is on and the fire pit is waiting. Book your San Antonio escape today — we'll have everything ready for you behind the yellow door.
